David began his career as an intern for Martin Scorsese while studying at NYU. After graduating he co-directed Cure For Pain, a feature documentary that played 20+ festivals worldwide, was sold by Gersh, and distributed by Cinetic. He then transitioned full-time into video production, directing branded content for clients including Google, Vice, Intel, P&G, and NBC-Universal. At NBC-U, David added writing and producing to his credits. Throughout 2024 he served as the in-house director for Deadline, capturing interviews and motion covers with A-list Hollywood talent. He is recent Telly Award recipient for directing the Sundance Breakout Series in parternship with Deadline and the DGA.
In the narrative space, Wardcliffe - a feature drama inspired by real events - was picked up by Anchor Bay and will soon be released globally. His second feature, a reboot of the cult classic Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, is currently in post-production. David’s genre shorts include Emptied (2014), Nocturnally Yours (2017), and The Fortune Teller (2019).
