David began his film and media career as an intern for Martin Scorsese while studying at NYU. At age 22 he co-directed Cure For Pain, a feature documentary that played 20+ festivals worldwide, was sold by Gersh, and distributed by Cinetic. While shooting and cutting CFP, David served as an executive assistant to Summit Entertainment CEO Patrick Wachsberger, along with the company’s entire International Sales & Marketing Team. He then transitioned full-time into video content, directing spots for clients including Google, Vice, Intel, P&G, and NBC-Universal. At NBC-U, David added writing and producing to his list of credits. He is currently the lead video director at Deadline.

In the narrative space, his genre shorts have been hits. Emptied (2014), starring Beck Bennett (SNL) and Mackenzie Davis (Station Eleven), premiered at Fantasia - the world’s biggest genre fest. The movie would later find an online home with Alter - YouTube’s central horror hub. Nocturnally Yours (2017) also premiered at Fantasia, taking home Bronze for Best Int’l Short. The Fortune Teller (2019) premiered at LA’s (in)famous Screamfest, and was selected to be a permanent fixture on the festival’s web channel. Ferino recently wrapped Wardcliffe - a true crime feature film - starring Joel McKinnon Miller (Brooklyn 99, Big Love) and Shane Coffey (Good Girls, Pretty Little Liars). The project will debut in early 2024.
